Clydesdales Race for Charity and Awareness

Clydesdales thunder down the track to help raise funds for the Devon Air ambulance trust. The Devon Air Ambulance Trust has two air ambulances and respond to over 1000 incidents every year the trust relies on charity to keep it operating.

Clydesdales from Tim Ancrum and Aileen Ware of Adventure Clydesales have been in training for the big race that has quickly become a crowd favorite.

The race has two benefits- to raise charity funds for the Air ambulance and to also raise awareness of this giant horse breed whose numbers have diminished.

Professional jockeys navigated the Clydesdales down the track safely and effectively. The training for the race has gone well according to their owners Tim and Aileen.

They state that even the horses seemed to enjoy the racing, getting excited even though they have no trace of any Thoroughbred descent.

The Clydesdale race alone raised over 2000 pounds as the crowd roared their appreciation for the gentle giants.
