Horses Help Patrol This Holiday Season

Horses have become a huge part of the shopping centers for the holiday season in the area known as East County of San Diego. Volunteers who have their own horses can take part in the volunteer program that helps patrol major shopping areas during the holiday season.

Some members have been on the patrol unit for several years, with others just joining in the last year or so. The patrol is part of the “Holiday Watch” program to help keep customers safe.

They state that if you are interested in volunteering and have a horse, your horse should be able to deal with cars, noise and people well.

The horse’s presence creates lots of smiles, particularly from the children who can visit and pet the horses.
